Job Summary:
The E-commerce Marketplace SEO Manager is responsible for developing and implementing effective search engine optimization strategies to drive organic traffic, improve search engine rankings, and increase revenue for our e-commerce marketplace. This role requires a deep understanding of SEO best practices, strong analytical skills, and the ability to optimize content across multiple platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies to enhance the visibility and performance of our e-commerce marketplace across various search engines.
- Conduct keyword research, competitive analysis, and on-page optimization to improve search engine rankings and organic traffic.
- Optimize product descriptions, titles, meta tags, URLs, and other relevant content elements to maximize organic search visibility.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including content writers, developers, and designers to ensure SEO best practices are implemented throughout the e-commerce website and marketplace.
- Monitor and analyze website traffic, search engine rankings, and user behavior using SEO tools and analytics platforms.
- Identify and resolve technical SEO issues, such as crawl errors, broken links, and duplicate content.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, algorithm updates, and SEO best practices to ensure the marketplace remains competitive.
- Conduct regular SEO audits and provide actionable recommendations for content optimization and website improvements.
- Track, analyze, and report on key SEO metrics to demonstrate the effectiveness of SEO strategies and initiatives.
- Collaborate with external agencies, freelancers, and vendors as needed to support SEO efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
- Proven work experience as an SEO Manager or similar role in the e-commerce industry.
- In-depth knowledge of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and SEO best practices.
- Proficient in using SEO tools and analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Moz, etc.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms and marketplace dynamics.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate insights.
- Demonstrated experience in optimizing content for search engines and improving organic search rankings.
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and website development principles.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and project management abilities.
- Ability to stay current with industry trends, algorithm updates, and SEO best practices.
